What's New?
April 2010
From April 2010 you will no longer be able to receive more Local Housing Allowance than you have to pay in rent. If you currently receive this, you will be moved on to the new arrangements when your Local Housing Allowance is reviewed. This is normally on the anniversary of your claim.
November 2009
From 2nd November 2009 Child Benefit will be disregarded in calculating income for Housing and Council Tax Benefit. This will mean that a lot of people who are not entitled to Housing and/or Council Tax benefit at the moment will now qualify. Please contact us if you feel you may be affected by this on the number in the panel to the right. If you would like to check your entitlement before contacting us please visit the Entitled To website.
Capital of up to £10,000 will be disregarded for Pension Credit and Pensioner - related Housing and Council Tax Benefit.
