Emergency Planning

Floods and flooding

The Council maintains contingency plans to respond to a range of major incidents. Plans are developed on a multi-agency basis with partner agencies, parish councils and community organisations.  The Norfolk Resilience Forum provides the framework within which plans are developed.

Individual communities are encouraged to develop their own Community Resilience (or Emergency) Plan. For a plan template click on the link below.
For guidance on preparing for a range of possible emergencies click on the links in 'Further Information’ below or 'Useful Links' on the right.

Business Continuity
All organisations are recommended to adopt robust and flexible plans to cope with a range of possible disruptions to their business or service. We can provide advice and guidance to businesses and organisations within the borough on "Business Continuity Planning”. See also 'Useful Links' on the right
