Community Services
This department deals with help to homeowners, private tenants and landlords; we offer advice regarding housing and welfare benefits, homelessness; sheltered housing for older people and community alarm services; housing policy and strategy development and environmental services .We work with housing associations to produce affordable housing; neighbourhood renewal to help improve the quality of life in the Borough andare partners with Supporting People which is a government programme to provide good quality housing support to help people live as independently as possible.
