We administer the Housing Benefit and the Local Council Tax Reduction Scheme, which replaced Council Tax Benefit with effect from 1 April 2013. We try to ensure that customers receive the correct help to which they are entitled to.
Who is benefit for?
Housing Benefit and Local Council Tax Reduction is for people on a low income to help meet the cost of rent and council tax. The money you earn, other benefits you may receive and the money you have saved, together with your household circumstances, will affect the amount of help you may be entitled to.
