Train to Gain

Train to Gain is anational service, launched by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC), to help businesses get the training they need to improve their productivity and competitiveness.

What is Train to Gain?

Train to Gain is a service that is driven by quality and responsiveness. The service offers advice on business needs, matches training needs with training providers and ensures that the training is delivered to meet the needs of employers and its employees.

How can Train to Gain help?

At the heart of the Train to Gain service is independent and impartial skills advice, provided by Skills Brokers who can provide all or part of the following:

  • Analysis of their current skills training within what the business needs

  • Recommendation of appropriate skills training solutions

  • Recommendation and referral to other specialist or business advisers

  • Design and costing of an integrated learning and skills package

  • Recommendation and sourcing of the most appropriate training providers

  • Ongoing support for strategies to address future skills training needs aligned with the business

There is a range of training and qualifications available through Train to Gain including Skills for Life qualifications, first full NVQ Level 2 qualifications, Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships and NVQ Level 3 and above.
