Infectious Diseases

We investigate infectious diseases as a matter of urgency to protect the public from unnecessary spread of infection.

G.P.’s inform us of cases of food poisoning and we complete a medical questionnaire (confidential) to ensure that there is not a food business implicated or that there are not other associated cases.

If there is an outbreak of infection it is very important to contain the infection by putting controls in place and monitoring the situation.

If you suffer from diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the first instance visit your own G.P.
