Large Casino Licence

Great Yarmouth is one of 16 authorities authorised to issue one of the new casino premises licences.  In preparation for awarding the licence, the council carried out a revision of its gambling policy in 2009 and amended the casino section and adopted competition criteria in readiness for the forthcoming casino competition.  

A draft policy was consulted upon during January – April 2009 and the revised policy was adopted by Council on 25 June 2009
