Flytipping

The unauthorised dumping of waste (flytipping) is totally unacceptable and details of places where it occurs should be reported to the Council.
If there are details which will identify an offender, please contact the Environmental Rangers on 01493 846620 / 01493 846693 or 01493 846677.
The Council has a team of Environmental Rangers with powers to investigate, issue fixed penalty notices and report offenders for prosecution. Dates, times, car/vehicle registration details are always important as is the willingness to provide a statement.
The Council will, however, respect confidentiality of those giving information when requested.
Syringes
Great Yarmouth Borough Council does not operate a separate household collection service for syringes. However, we do provide a rapid collection service of syringes that have been found in a public place.
If you find syringes in a public place:
Do not handle them
Contact GYB Services on: 01493 846846 and we will collect them and arrange safe disposal
