Recycling, Rubbish and Waste

It has come to our attention that some residents may have been given conflicting information about liquid based food and drinks cartons (eg fruit juice cartons).
Please be advised that as yet we are unable to take these as part of your kerbside recycling .
You can recycle these at bring banks that are situated at Tesco's Great Yarmouth and Caister, Morrisons in Gorleston and Asda in Great Yarmouth.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
We are committed to reducing the ever increasing tonnages of waste that are generated locally. On average households produce 1 tonne of waste each year and with over 45,000 local homes it’s easy to see this adds up to a tremendous amount of rubbish.

To reduce this we are working with a number of different organisations including our neighbouring local authorities, the County Council and private companies. Most of all however, we are working with you, our local residents.
Our current recycling rate is around 26%.
