ComeUnity

The Comeunity Neighbourhood Management Programme for South and Central Yarmouth is delivered through five Working Groups, each with a unique theme and delivery plan. One of these is entitled "Comeunity Safety”, and consists of local residents, Norfolk Constabulary, and other Service Providers working together to try and make South and Central Yarmouth a safer place for all residents.

Through this partnership working we have developed the Neighbourhood Centre at 143 King Street as a reporting site for crime. Local people can, if they choose, access the Centre and report crimes as an alternative to the Police Station.

The charity Crimestoppers helps to fight crime in local communities. Thanks to information received by Crimestoppers, 19 criminals are arrested and charged every day and a murderer is arrested and charged every four days.
