The aim of inteGREAT was to improve economic prosperity by promoting, enhancing and developing the image of Great Yarmouth.

Business associations and organisations have been involved in helping to shape the projects and initiatives to achieve this aim.

inteGREAT provided the funding to make significant improvements to the infrastrucure, buildings and supporting functions to help existing businesses develop and to attract further investment.

A simple way of evaluating business growth is to monitor the number of vacant shops around the town. Many shops are of historic importance, particularly in King Street, Market Row and Broad Row and there is a programme of restoration to bring these premises back into use. Funds of up to 60% are available for restoration projects.
