The Government Office for the East of England (GO-East) brings together into a single operation the regional activities of the Department for Education and Skills, the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and the Department for Environment, Local Government and the Regions, with the aim of making ' the Region a better place to live and work in'.
Additionally GO-East has staff from the Home Office, Department of Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and Department of Culture, Media & Sport, providing a useful point of contact across a wide range of Government activities.
