SOUTH DENES SRB

The South Denes peninsular received some £8.7 million funding in the second round of the Government’s Single Regeneration Budget (SRB).

Since its inception in 1996 the SRB, with the help of the East of England Development Agency, contributed towards a total of 140 projects in the area ranging from large capital schemes to small community initiatives.

Through partnership working the SRB has contributed towards improving the environment, the social and economic climate and the well being of those that live and work in the community.

Examples of projects undertaken include the Heritage Gap site (Middleton Gardens), Barrack Estate housing improvements (fencing and highways), Time and Tide Museum and the Young Women’s Project.
