Various groups of people who are referred to as ‘travellers’ visit the Borough and stay for varying periods of time. There is a site provided for travellers with facilities and access to medical, social and educational services.

The site provided for travellers is managed by a member of the travelling community on behalf of the County Council. Many travellers choose to gain access to land without due authority and the Borough Council works within a Norfolk wide framework to manage such incursions.

For more information regarding travellers or issues with a traveller site, please contact our Environment and Health department.
