Proof of earnings
You must send proof of your earnings to enable us to assess your Council Tax Benefit.
If you work for an Employer
Please ask your employer to fill in the earnings certificate form.
If you cannot get your employer to fill it in, you will have to send us:
- Your last five payslips, if you are paid weekly.
- Your last three payslips, if you are paid fortnightly.
- Your last two payslips, if you are paid monthly.
If you are Self Employed
Please send us your latest audited accounts or your last financial quarter trading accounts. If you cannot do this, please complete the form below and send it to us or ask for further guidance.
If you cannot send the information now
Do not delay sending in your claim form if the proof we ask for is not available at the moment. You must send this information as soon as possible and we must receive all evidence within 28 days of the claim form. We cannot assess your benefit entitlement without it.
