Planting of floral bedding, trees and shrubs, and general grounds maintenance of sea front gardens and other formal parks and gardens throughout the Borough is a service provided by GYB Services Ltd.
Horticultural Standards
The Horticultural standards within the Borough are currently established around original Contract specifications which themselves were based on standard industry documentation (e.g. The Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management’s Model Contract Document for Grounds Maintenance and Landscape Operations), amended to take account of local circumstances.
The specifications also reference methods and work practices from other recognised sources (e.g. British Standards), and in the case of sports maintenance, the requirements of the relevant sport’s governing body.
