The Borough Council has responsibility for the maintenance and cleansing of the main War Memorial in St Georges Park, Great Yarmouth, together with the Far East War Memorial situated on Marine Parade.
In 2005, a new Air- Sea Rescue Memorial was unveiled at Brush Quay in Gorleston. This is now a listed War memorial, with details on the UK Register of War Memorials kept by the Imperial war Museum in London.
Visitors to the Borough may also wish to visit the War Graves at Kitchener Road Cemetery in Yarmouth and particularly at Caister Cemetery on Ormesby Road in Caister On Sea, which are landscaped and maintained by the Commonwealth war Graves Commission.
All other War Memorials within the Borough would come under the remit of either the church authorities or relevant Parish Councils.
