The Housing and Support Strategy builds upon work produced jointly by Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Norfolk County Council and the East Norfolk Health Authority back in June 1997.
The Housing and Support Strategy provides:
An update on information about the needs of vulnerable people and the availability of services locally.
An opportunity to really focus on housing requirements that are specific to groups with different needs.
A statement of Great Yarmouth's needs which can influence other key plans such as the Norfolk Supporting People Strategy and the housing agendas for our region.
The Strategy highlights the needs of people from various groups in our community. For example:
Older people
People with a learning difficulty
People with mental health problems
Offenders and young people at risk
Travellers
People with a physical disability
People who experience domestic violence
