Information improvements

One of the important elements of inteGREAT was the provision of information about what to do, where to go and how to get there. There is a rich variety of things to see and do in Great Yarmouth, but finding them, or being aware that they exist is key to improving visitor numbers.

Promoting the variety of attractions, museums and heritage sites available will attract increasing numbers of people from the local catchment area as well as traditional summer visitors. This will improve year-round visitor numbers and also increase opportunities to extend the evening trade.

Information is provided in a number of ways

·tourist publications and leaflets

·street signage for vehicles and pedestrians

·touch-screen information points

·Hi-tech Tourist Information Centre on the seafront

·local and national promotion

·three big screen TV's, promoting local events, facilities and information - one in the town centre and two on the seafront.
