The road behind Great Yarmouth Town Hall is to remain closed for a further six months as repair work to the building continues.

It was originally expected that Hall Plain, the short road behind the Town Hall connecting South Quay to Greyfriars Way would be reopened at the end of July.

As work on the roof of the building has been more extensive than first estimated, the road is likely to stay closed until the end of January 2009.
