Jim Shrimplin has represented the Ormesby ward on the Borough Council for over 30 years.He is also a member of the Ormesby and Scratby Parish Council and County Councillor for East Flegg.,He was born in Ormesby where his family have lived for several hundred years and is married with a grown up family and grandchildren.His interests include gardening,flyfishing and most things concerning the countryside.

Currently the Cabinet Member with the Environmental portfolio on the Borough Council he has also served on most of the committees and represents the Council on the Broads Internal Drainage Board and is a director of Gt Yarmouth Racecourse.
