I am married to Councillor Barry Coleman and we share the responsibility for West Flegg Ward. We moved to Martham in 1973 and have two adult children, Helen and Andrew, both educated at Flegg High School, where I taught until my retirement in April 2007. I retired in order to concentrate on serving as a Borough Councillor. I have witnessed the steady growth of facilities and regeneration in the borough and am proud to be a part of the successful Conservative controlled council.

Individuals still have grievances and there is always room for improvement. I attend all the parish council meetings in the ward and work closely with them and the County Council. As a trained Stroke Association Volunteer, I am used to listening to people and will help in any way I can. I am always happy to approach borough officers and other organisations on behalf of the public.

My other interests include fundraising for St Mary’s Church, Martham, Martham Churches Together, Inner Wheel Club of Great Yarmouth, Martham Handbell Ringers, Information Technology, Norwich City Football Club, walking, swimming and a new grandson called Max.
