I was born in Sheffield 1945, married Ivor in 1963 and have two children Matthew and Emma

Our daughter has two children whom we adore Bobby 4 and Ruby 2, unfortunately as they live in London we don't see them as much as we would like to.

Because Ivor was in the RAF we have lived in Wiltshire, Somerset, Cambridge and Essex finally moving to Great Yarmouth 26 years ago. Whilst in Cambridge and Essex I worked for the AA (no not on a motorbike doing repairs) but in their Foreign Travel unit also PR, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Here I worked temporarily at Amec before we started our own business which has been successful, we supply till rolls for credit card machines.

I am Co-ordinator of Great Yarmouth & Gorleston in Bloom and Secretary/Treasurer to Anglia in Bloom and a judge for Anglia in Bloom too. These activities bring me into contact with many people and take me to lots of towns and cities to judge. I am very lucky too to be able to visit many gardens and communities in the borough as residents enter our In Bloom competition which is judged in August In October we have our awards evening which is attended by over 200 people.

I love flower arranging and am a member of Gorleston Flower Club.

I became a councillor in 2008 and have found it very interesting, the committees I am on are challenging and varied, it has taken a while to understand the language ie HRvS LGIP PSBS etc but am getting there.

As ward councillor for Bradwell South and Hopton I am standing for re election 2011 and hope to be successful once again.
