Big Coffee Morning and Homemade Cakes With The Mayor

Come and sample the coffee and cakes made by the Mayoress is the invitation to anyone in Great Yarmouth on September 25.

The Mayor and Mayoress, Tony and Sara Smith, are taking part in the world’s biggest coffee morning to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

coffee-morning

Last year’s national event saw 45,000 coffee mornings raise £7.5million for the organisation that provides care for cancer patients and their families.

Great Yarmouth’s big coffee morning will be held from 10am to 3pm in the Town Hall’s Assembly Room.

As well as Mrs Smith’s delicious cakes, there will be a variety of stalls to tempt visitors to spend money in a good cause.

These will include jewellery, handbags, books, arts and crafts and pampered chef demonstrations.

Entrance is free and all the money raised will go to Macmillan, which gets 99 per cent of its funding from donations including events such as the big coffee morning.
