Great Yarmouth Borough Council’s Environmental Rangers are asking the public for help in identifying the person or persons responsible for one of the biggest fly tips they have come across in the town centre area.
The rubbish was dumped on Albert Gate Road, which is adjacent to Nelson Road South and Havelock Road, Great Yarmouth and contained a quantity of household waste, together with general rubbish which looks to have come from a house clearance. The fly tip blocked access to the road prior to its removal by GYB Services.

Paul Shucksmith, Senior Environmental Ranger said: “We believe that incident occurred over the weekend of the 15th and 16th August but unfortunately most dumping occurs at night when few people are around to witness it. However, due to the size and nature of the fly tip we are hoping that a member of the public may have witnessed something that will help us catch the offenders.”
“The scale of the fly tip makes this a very serious case and were keen to take further action. Once again I am appealing to any members of the public who have information they feel could help the investigation to contact the Environmental Rangers on 01493 846478”
