Holocaust Service
The public is invited to attend a memorial service in memory of victims of the Holocaust.
Reverend Chris Terry will be leading a service and wreath laying ceremony at Caister Jewish Cemetery on Ormesby Road, Caister on Wednesday 27 January at 12 noon to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
Since 1999 communities have remembered the estimated 1.5 million people who perished in Auschwitz and its satellite camps during World War ll.
The Mayor, Councillor Tony Smith, will lay a wreath on behalf of the Borough Council.
Should you prefer to pay your respects in private the Jewish cemeteries in Caister, Blackfriars and Kitchener Road will be open from 7.30 am to 4.30pm.
