New York, Milan, London, Great Yarmouth!
As every fashionista knows January through to March sees the great and the good walking down the catwalk to show off collections from the latest designers. For the first time the list of fashion capitals now has competition when staff at Great Yarmouth Borough Council are taking to the catwalk for a charity fashion show.
The women are putting aside their normal jobs which include Control Centre Operative, Customer Service and Election officers and joining Sara Smith wife of Councillor Tony Smith Mayor of the Borough of Great Yarmouth to showcase clothes from the Artichoke Collection, a company which specialises in fundraising.
The size zero debate is not an issue for our models as all the clothes are all available in sizes 10 to 20.
“I hope a number of local people will join us for this affordable evening of fashion and beauty.” said Sara “Local salon Serenity Hair and Beauty will be on hand to pamper our models for their debut modelling career and to showcase their services to our guests on the evening.”
The show is aid of the Mayors Charity and takes place on Thursday 25th March at 7.30pm and is being held at the Furzedown Hotel, North Drive, Great Yarmouth.
Tickets are being sold prior to the event at the Town Hall reception for £2.00 or they can be purchased on the night at the door. Anyone wanting information should telephone Laura Goodman on 01493 846125
