Service Delivery Examined at Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Area Scrutiny Committees

Residents are invited to attend two new meetings set up to look at service delivery and locality/partnership working across Yarmouth and Gorleston.  The new meetings replace the twice yearly Great Yarmouth Area Liaison and Gorleston Area Liaison Committees.

Ward Councillors will scrutinize service delivery and locality/partnership working across Yarmouth and Gorleston and make recommendations to the Council’s Cabinet and Scrutiny Committees as appropriate.

The Gorleston Area Scrutiny Committee is being held on Wednesday 7 October 2009 at 6.00 pm at Charter Close Communal Room, Charter Close, Gorleston and will be chaired by Councillor Pat  Page. The committee will comprise of the 10 Borough Councillors representing Claydon, Magdalen, St.Andrews and Gorleston wards.

Yarmouth Area Scrutiny Committee, chaired by Councillor Mike Taylor, will be held on Wednesday 14 October 2009 at 6.00 pm in the Supper Room, Town Hall, and Great Yarmouth.  The 10 Borough Councillors representing the Yarmouth North, Central and Northgate, Nelson and Southtown and Cobholm wards, will sit on the committee.

At the discretion of the Chairman, the public will be able to ask questions at the meeting.
