Port Health

Currently the Environmental Health team inspect vessels on a six monthly basis so that they can be issued with a Ship's Sanitation Certificate. There is a charge for these certificates.

Officers also check the ship's galley's under the Food Safety Act 1990.

Great Yarmouth Port Authority does not have a Border Inspection Post so foods are not imported into Great Yarmouth from outside the European Union.

The Environmental Health team does however issue food export certificates for businesses wishing to export food. If you require such a certificate or a Ship's Sanitation Certificate please contact us using the contact details to the right of this page.
