Planning Policy
The Planning Policy Team is responsible for developing the policies that set out the Council's approach to development in the borough. Following reforms of the planning system in 2004 the Great Yarmouth Borough-Wide Local Plan is being replaced by the emerging Local Development Framework (LDF).
In addition the team deals with protected trees, street naming and numbering, public rights of way and cycling issues.
