Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA)
The Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) 2009 updates the 2006 SFRA in line with the requirements of Planning Policy Statement 25: Development and Flood Risk. The Environment Agency (EA) has agreed with the approach to the SFRA and has been involved during its development.
The SFRA provides flood risk information to support appropriate land use allocations within the borough and includes the mapping of flood zones 1, 2, 3a and 3b. Flood zone 3b defines the function flood plain and takes into consideration the existing flood defences.
Please note that due to the number and size of the files only selected mapping is available below. For a digital copy of the complete set of mapping, including fluvial flooding, breaches and hazard analysis, there is a charge of £30 (including postage and packaging). Please contact planning policy to purchase a copy.
