Core Strategy DPD

Amendment to the Core Strategy

The Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) is the overarching document in the LDF which sets out the overall vision and spatial planning strategy for the borough to 2021 and to 2025 for housing. Following previous consultation on the Core Strategy Issues and Options Stage 1 & 2 and Preferred Options, the Council published the Amendment to the Core Strategy and Sustainability Appraisal for a Regulation 25 consultation from 27 February 2009 to 14 April 2009. The consultation has now closed.

Subsequent Development Plan Documents and Supplementary Planning Documents will have to conform to the Core Strategy. The Sustainability Appraisal highlights the likely significant economic, social and environmental effects of the Core Strategy policies. In addition, the Core Strategy is supported by the following background evidence studies.

Core Strategy Preferred Options

The Core Strategy Preferred Options and Sustainability Appraisal was published for consultation from 7 August 2006 to 18 September 2006. Copies are available to view below under further information.

Core Strategy Issues and Options Stage 2

The Core Strategy Issues and Options (Stage 2) Hierarchy of Settlements and Developer Contributions was published for consultation from Friday 31 March 2006 to 12 noon on Monday 15 May 2006. The papers presented a variety of issues and options to address them. The representations received have built upon those received during the draft Core Strategy Issues and Options Stage 1.
