Statement of Community Involvement

The statement of community involvement (SCI) outlines how Great Yarmouth Borough Council intends to involve the local community and key organisations in the preparation of the local development framework for the Borough.  It also outlines the arrangements for consultation on applications for planning permission.

On 29 June 2005, the Borough Council submitted its revised draft statement of community involvement to the secretary of state for independent examination.  Following this submission an independent examination was held in October 2005, and the Planning Inspector's report was received on 22 November 2005. The SCI was then amended in line with the Inspector's report and formally adopted on 12 January 2006.  

At present the SCI is under review and the updated version will be available to view once completed.
