Sustainability Appraisal
Sustainability appraisals (SA) are required for each development plan document (DPD) to ensure that due consideration is given to the social, economic and environmental implications of the document. The sustainability appraisal highlights the likely significant economic, social and environmental effects of the policies and proposals in the plan
The sustainability appraisal scoping report
The role of the sustainability appraisal scoping report is to identify and highlight the sustainability issues within the Borough and use these to produce a sustainability framework against which the emerging Local Development Framework (LDF) can be assessed. Representations from statutory consultees have been received and the scoping report has been updated accordingly. To view see further information.
