Would you like this Snug mobile play kit at your community event?
One popular attraction at Great Yarmouth’s Playday Event held in August 2009 and August 2010 was ‘Snug’ - a piece of mobile play equipment loaned by Lowestoft’s Fen Park Primary School.
‘Snug’ being made up of large colourful loose parts enables children to let their imaginations run wild as they play. Since Playday, Great Yarmouth Borough Council through its Big Lottery funded Play Development Project has purchased a ‘Snug’ as a way to address some of the barriers to Play identified in a Borough wide survey undertaken in 2008.

A number of the Borough’s schools have already accepted free loan of the ‘Snug’ for a number of days each. As a result of this initiative thousands of children are having their opportunities to play enhanced through accessing ‘Snug’ in their school.
Being mobile it is possible for the ‘Snug’ to be made available at various events across the Borough. The Play Development Worker is currently looking for events taking place either indoors or outdoors where the Snug can be made available. If you are planning or know of an event where entrance will be free of charge, the event will be open to anyone and people will be free to come and go as they choose please let him know....it may then be possible to provide the Snug during the event free of any charge.
