Play Day

Play Day 2011

Following on from Great Yarmouth’s successful first Play day event held in 2009, our second event saw nearly 500 children coming along to play.

Play day enabled children and their families to come together to enjoy a wide variety of free play opportunities as well as free refreshments. A large marquee was provided so that people attending could shelter if necessary, enabling play to continue.

Children were able to build dens and models with cardboard boxes and tubes, have their face painted, play with Snug mobile play equipment, take part in a Twiggle Trail, get messy or even make a flower arrangement. There were many other play opportunities on offer too all for free!

We are grateful to all who helped to make the day so successful including various organisations, businesses, schools and individuals.
