Playday

PLAYDAY 2009

Great Yarmouth's Playday event was at St Nicholas Playing Field on 5th August 2009 and amongst the organisations and businesses that gave their support were Lowestoft's Fen Park Primary School, YMCA Training Norfolk, BeWILDerwood, Child Minding Matters, Norfolk Library Information Services, Community Connections, Priory and Greenacre Children's Centres, GFS Platform Nursery, St John's Ambulance, Asda, Tesco Caister, Great Yarmouth Sport and Leisure Trust and Starbucks.

Their combined effort helped make the town's first Playday a huge success.  So many organisations turned up on the day to help make it go so well, or donated drinks and equipment.

The event saw children and their parents from all over the Borough joining in story sessions, making dens from boxes, piloting some new play equipment, junk modelling, painting and bouncing to name just some of the play opportunities.
