SHIP
The Southtown Housing Improvement Project (SHIP) is aimed at improving the housing and living conditions of vulnerable households in the Southtown area of Great Yarmouth.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council has secured £3.4 million from the East of England Regional Assembly to carry out basic repairs and bring homes up to a decent standard through a combination of grant and loan assistance.
Owners of empty properties will be encouraged to bring them back to use
The scheme is running for 2 years between April 2009 and March 2011.
