Objective 3

Great Yarmouth has access to European Social Fund Objective 3 funding. Objective 3 is aimed at tackling barriers to entry that prevent individuals in the community from participating in the labour market. £125 million is available across the region and is aimed at individual companies / organisations.

Five policy fields have been identified to address needs identified by labour market analysis, these are:-

  • Active labour market policies

  • Equal opportunities for all, promoting social inclusion

  • Lifelong learning

  • Adaptability and entrepreneurship

  • Improving women's labour market participation


Examples of projects underway in the Great Yarmouth area include Norfolk Engineering Excellence.
