The Great Yarmouth Sports Council is a voluntary organisation which provides a voice for local sports clubs and coaches. It acts as a pressure group to support sport within the borough and to promote the benefits of sports participation.

As part of its annual programme, the Sports Council administers local sports grants on behalf of the Borough Council and produces a local newsletter to keep clubs, coaches and the public informed on local, county and regional developments

Applications for sports grants should be made in writing to the secretary of the Sports Council and should include details of the application, estimate of expenses, for group activities and estimate of charges to be made to individual participants.
