Great Yarmouth Community Housing
Council housing is an important part of the housing provision in Great Yarmouth and will continue to be so in the future, which is why Great Yarmouth Community Housing is committed to improving the quality of service we offer to all our tenants.
Formed in 2007 following the amalgamation of the former Housing Management and Architectural Services departments, Great Yarmouth Community Housing is responsible for the management of the Council’s housing stock of some 6100 dwellings, including the provision of programmes of major repairs and improvements to these dwellings and their environment.
Six service units comprise Great Yarmouth Community Housing, these being, Tenancy Services, Housing Finance, Housing Support Services, Property Maintenance, Housing Property Management and Capital Projects.

Great Yarmouth Community Housing is based in Greyfriars House. In addition we also operate two area housing offices, one in Gorleston and one in south Yarmouth.
Great Yarmouth Community Housing Annual Report to tenants now available. Great Yarmouth Community Housing has published its annual report to tenants for the period 2009/10. In it the Council’s housing service highlights its achievements during the period and outlines plans for 2010/11. Director of Community Housing Denis Gilbert says “This annual report gives us the opportunity to share information with our tenants, leaseholders and partners. Whilst we have had many successes over the past we recognise that there is still room for improvement.
