External Stairwell Procedures

Every week a caretaker undertakes the following:

• Inspects for defects, fire hazards caused by possessions left in the area and repairs, then reports them to the local housing office,

• Sweeps out if litter/rubbish has accumulated

A caretaker also grits each stairwell during hazardous weather conditions
