Right to Buy

Your initial application is processed by Property Services, who can give you a leaflet explaining how to go about buying your council home and the application form. (Telephone 01493 846400).

They will deal with the application up to the point where you have received an Offer Notice showing the price at which we will sell and returned the accompanying Notice of Intention to Proceed giving details of your solicitors. Legal Services will then arrange with your solicitors to complete the sale.

Once you have bought your property Legal Services (telephone 01493 846313) will deal with enquiries about:

• ·Repayment of discount

• ·Consents for alterations

• ·Consents to re-mortgaging and additional advances during the discount repayment period (postponement).
