HomeSupport

HomeSupport is a short term service to help anyone who needs extra help with managing their home.  It is a Consortium of partners from agencies who provide support with a variety of everyday tasks including:

  • setting up home

  • filling in benefit forms

  • budgeting, shopping & managing your bills

  • helping you to look after your home

  • emotional support and advice.

  • coping with changes in managing your home.

The amount of support you receive would vary depending on your needs and is aimed at gaining your independence through regular visits by a Support Worker. The support would be reviewed regularly to make sure you still needed and wanted it.

Who can join?

HomeSupport is for anyone who, because of vulnerability, needs extra help in managing their home and gaining their independence.

If you are unsure whether HomeSupport can help in your circumstances, please contact us and we'll discuss help with you.

There are lots of reasons why someone might need some extra help.

For example HomeSupport might be for:

  • a young person who is setting up home for the first time.

  • an older person who wants support to remain in their own home and live independently.

  • a person with a learning difficulty who needs help to live independently.

  • a person starting a new life following a relationship breakdown or domestic violence.

  • a person feeling lonely, depressed or with problems relating to their mental health

  • a person who has issues with drugs or alcohol.

  • ex-offenders who need support to resettle.

Is there a charge?

No. This is a free short term service aimed at getting you on your feet.

If you would like a bit of extra help please follow these simple steps:
