Is that bulky waste you’re throwing away an old table, a 3 piece suite or an electrical item?

Is it really broken down and unusable or could it be re-used by others?

If so why not give it to one of the local charity organisations that could benefit from your donation.

For example, Furnishaid are a local charity that could accept old furniture or electrical goods that are still suitable for re-use. It may also be possible for them to collect from your home. Why not give Furnishaid a ring first on 01493 331919 and see if they can help.

Caister Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)

Residents can take an unlimited amount of domestic household waste including items such as cookers, televisions, 3 piece suites, tables, fridges, freezers, free standing wardrobes or any other domestic household

GYB Services Ltd Bulky Collections

GYB Services Ltd can collect the following bulky household items (there is a charge for this service):

Carpet (1 rooms worth)	Fridge*	Sideboard	Vacuum Cleaner

*Domestic fridge, freezer and Fridge/Freezers (domestic size) are collected Free of Charge from domestically rated property.Special household items e.g. sinks, bathroom fittings, DIY materials and garden items (all from the property and within the Borough boundary), by negotiation and subject to site visit.

Excluded Items

The following items will not be removed. You will need to consult a telephone directory for specialist disposal companies to deal with the following:

Batteries
Cars
Chemicals
Industrial Fridges
Tyres
Oil or items that have been contaminated with oil e.g. oil tanks

1 item - £10.00.
2-3 items - £15.00.
4 items - £25.00.
5-6 items - £30.00.

Payment must be received before collection.

Collection is dependant upon receipt of payment being made. The item(s) for collection will need to be placed in a position that is easily accessible with your property boundary by 7am on the day of the collection. Unfortunately we are unable to give any specific time for collection.GYB Services will not enter the property to collect your items and they will only collect those items that you have originally specified.
