Community Outreach Service
The Community Outreach Service is a new service within the Great Yarmouth Borough Council. It is a development of the sheltered housing service to provide an outreach service to anyone living within the Great Yarmouth Borough, who is at least 55 years of age and not living in sheltered housing but who are an owner occupier or a tenant, private or otherwise.
The Service is free providing short term support to help you access services and information you may not be aware of.
The service could help you with a variety of things like:
Benefits Advice
Support following bereavement
Housing and accommodation advice
Overcoming isolation/ introduction to befriending
Providing information, advice and referral to other services like:
Homecare
Handy Person Scheme
Community Alarms
Disabled Facilities Grant
