New Deal is a Government programme that aims to give unemployed people the help and support they need to get into work.
Everyone on New Deal gets a personal adviser who is their point of contact throughout the programme. The personal adviser takes the time to understand you - your experiences, interests and goals - so a plan can be prepared to get you into a suitable job.
You can find out more about the different New Deal programmes on www.newdeal.gov.uk or call on 0845 606 2626 for more information. If you have questions about Jobcentre Plus or want to discuss a vacancy, call Employer Direct on 0845 601 2001.
The New Deal programme is mandatory for young jobseekers aged 18 to 24 and for those aged 25 and over who are claiming Jobseeker's Allowance. There are also a number of voluntary programmes, such as New Deal for Lone Parents, for people who are claiming benefits and who want to work.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council accepts job applications from people on the New Deal Scheme.
