The housing services are provided by the following departments:-

Great Yarmouth Community Housing

• Housing Management
  This department is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Council’s housing stock of almost 6,200 dwellings and ensuring the delivery of programmes for major repairs and improvements to these dwellings and their environment.

• Architectural Services
  Architectural Services provides professional construction services to departments throughout the council and outside related organisations.    

Housing Needs and Welfare Services
This department deals with help to homeowners, private tenants and landlords; housing and welfare benefits advice and homelessness; sheltered housing for older people and community alarm services; housing policy and strategy development; work with housing associations to produce affordable housing; neighbourhood renewal to help improve the quality of life in the borough. We are also partners with Supporting People which is a government programme to provide good quality housing support to help people live as independently as possible.
