Numerous school holiday activities and out of school youth activities are coordinated throughout the year by the Sports Development Officer. During the summer and the half term holidays the Sports Development Team at the Borough Council arranges a number of events for children. Summer Holiday 2008 Activities There are a range of events for 5-15 year olds throughout the summer holidays including: Basketball, Football, Beach Volleyball, Power Kiting, Netball, Skiing, Archery, Golf, Tennis, Gymnastics, Trampolining, Athletics, Badminton, Power Kiting, Handball, Softball and 'Young' Sports days. There are also a number of Active-X Challenge Weeks which include Raft Building, Iron Man, Climbing, Rookie Lifeguard, Rescue Boat, Martial Arts and more.
