Rental payments for local council homes are usually paid weekly. Upon securing a property you will be given a rent payment card which can be used to make payments several ways.
You can pay your rent using any of the following methods;

Online, using the ‘ Pay us online’ useful link
Using Direct Debit for automatic payment taken on either the 1st or 15th of each month, using the form in the further information.
By standing order with payments transferred weekly, fortnightly or monthly, which you must arrange with your bank.
By telephone using your debit card. You can call 01493 846266 or touchtone (24 hours) 01493 846117.
By sending a cheque or postal order sent to the address on this page, making sure you write your reference number on the back.
You can also request a date card which has a handy reminder of all the payment dates throughout the year. To do this, please contact us using the details to the right, stating your name and address.
Some weeks are rent free, and details of this will be confirmed in your tenancy.

If you are having difficulties it is important you discuss this with your Rent Income Team. However, we also advise that you seek money advice and consider applying for Housing Benefit and find out about any other benefits that you may be entitled to.
